Brazil’s Rousseff says she not resigning in political crisis

BRASILIA (Reuters) – Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff rejected calls for her resignation on Friday and blamed her opponents for causing a political crisis that has damaged the Brazilian economy.

Rousseff, who is facing the threat of impeachment, said an arrest warrant issued by Sao Paulo state prosecutors for the arrest of former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had no legal basis.
